  • General public — curious, non-specialist readers
  • Researchers and practitioners in psychology, mental health and public health
What we’re looking for
  • Original writing: field reflections, research summaries, opinion pieces, community case studies
  • Evidence-informed — cite sources, but avoid heavy academic jargon
  • Accessible language for a curious, non-specialist reader
  • Contributions that open dialogue — not prescriptive in tone
Format and length
Lead article
800–1200 words
Research spotlight
400–600 words
Field voice
200–400 words
  • Submit as .docx or plain text
  • Include a 4–5 sentence bio and affiliation
  • Images or figures welcome — include captions and source credits
Editorial process
  • All submissions reviewed for fit, clarity, and accuracy
  • Edits suggested collaboratively — authors consulted before changes
  • No promotional or advertorial content accepted
  • Simultaneous submissions to other outlets must be disclosed
Ethics and sensitive content
  • Informed consent required for content involving individuals
  • Avoid stigmatizing language around mental illness, poverty, or gender
  • Follow safe messaging principles for sensitive topics (suicide, trauma)
