Rita Gurung has completed a Bachelor of Arts in Social work (BASW) with a major in psychology from Tribhuvan University, Kritipur, Nepal. Along with the degree she has certified training in Leadership from Habitat for Humanity Nepal and has done an internship with NAWB (National Association for the welfare of Blind) and SamYubaa (Sampadako Lagi yuba ra Balbalika) as a part of fieldwork during BASW. The academic courses and the various field experience helped her to develop a final year project called ‘Suruwat’ which was based on physical and mental wellness. It was during the project that she discovered that she is a team player. Also, as a part of the academic requirement, in the final year of undergrad, she has written a research paper on the Effects of Parenting Styles on Student’ motivation and attitude. She is currently planning on accumulating knowledge, and firsthand field experience in the field of mental health.
